God is Not a Stranger in The Sky
He is father, friend, everything and everyone.

Dear Christian,
God is not a stranger in the sky.
He lets us know this about him “Before you were formed I knew you.” which tells us there will be no one in heaven and earth that knows us as deeply. And when you open your heart to enlightenment through the spirit, you begin to understand that this knowing supersedes your name, physical features or location. It goes deeper to your spiritual being, your mind, your soul, every cell in your body, every hair of your head, the different smiles you have for different people and times, the tears you cry, each laughter you ring out, your likes and dislikes. This is a knowing I feel we all can learn to reciprocate for our greater good.
Religion has constantly placed this barrier between us and God wrapping him in acts and performances. So Jesus came. To break religion, because with the Father, nothing matters but you and him. We need to understand that we can't truly know the Father just like he knows us if we keep trying to be conventional with processes. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how much you tithe, how much you preach, how well you sing in choir, or how modestly you dress. What matters is the posture of your heart when you do these things. Do you do them so you can feel you are morally right and justify all the other things you are doing wrong? The pride, gossiping, the lust, the laziness, the disobedience at the conviction of the Spirit.
There are a lot of things that we still do wrong and to be honest, that we would always do wrong because at the end of the day we are but humans. That's why the posture of your heart while you do these acts is what matters and why we need to really know God. When we perform our religious duties I do hope they stem from a place that knows these things we do in religion are not what makes us ‘good’ to God but rather acts we perform as human beings towards the good of fellow humans, acts that you don't expect a reward for doing.
Which is another thing religion has taught us: that our relationship with God should be one that is highly transactional. That is the message passed across when we have people doing things because they want to get blessed. We should all know these blessings we seek are already ours; they don't come just because you do things. Mind you I'm not disputing the principles of process and cause and effect because truly things we do always reap their fruits. But at the end of the day, they all fall back to what God proclaimed: seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all things shall be added unto you. When you seek, you become aware of the blessings that are already yours and learn how to activate them.
Anyway, I digress.
God is not a stranger in the sky!!! Religion teaches us that he is a Lord, King, and we are his servants and court, which is true but there is also the father and children relationship which is often blurred out. Except during the opening statement of prayers.
So dear Christian I just want to let you know and understand that God is not a stranger in the sky. He is a father that loves you unconditionally, he is a friend that knows every part of your being, you don't need perfection with him. He knew about those flaws from the beginning of time and chose you regardless. I don't want you selling yourself short and not tasting the goodness that comes from truly walking with God, having a true relationship with him where you can both be honest with each other.
God is not a stranger in the sky but a father that is by your side all day all night. He cries with you when you do. I like to think he holds himself back in pain from flicking his finger and making everything go how we want it to for us because he understands better the process we have to go through to come out better.
He holds on for when we finally understand that trials are not punishment but a refiner. He gets frustrated but is patient when we make him talk too much because he already said victory is ours and has been won. He has seen how it all plays out; why do we now stress by being impatient and walking out of the path he places for us. He is happy to deal with our enemies when we let him fight the battle and not try to take revenge in our own hands. He hates it when we compare ourselves to someone else because of a blessing they have that we covet when he knows that blessing would be a curse for us because we're not ready to handle it should he give it to us now.
When you understand that God is not just a supreme entity you have to serve blindly or perish, but rather a person, one that has a sense of humour, that loves, that hurts, that feels. In the beginning God said, “Let us make man in our own image” and you somehow let yourself think the nature you have is foreign to him. Yes, that nature was corrupted by another creature not made in God's image but still, the nature of God is inside of us. That is one goal of the journey we are all on; to be who God created us to be.
So when we understand that God is a person who possesses many qualities, such as love for us and of this love, we can do anything, we truly begin to live. You truly begin to live because you become your true self, you are suddenly not just a statistic among the billions trying to hustle for status, fame, and things that soon pass away. Your life finds its deeper purpose and you're fulfilled on the journey. All the weight religion makes you carry falls away to reveal you and the Father to you.
You begin to have hope and patience in all things because you see the bigger picture that earthly life will never end in your defeat as a child of God. You are quick to rebuke things that are not if your God ordained nature and speak only things that are. You obey his ways because you understand that they stem from a place of love. He created the world, he understands every crevice of it in ways your human mind can only assimilate in small pieces, so he laid down guidelines to help you get the most out of life. That's what knowing the Father makes you understand.
I mean, who better to tell you the secrets of yourself than the one who knows you outside of time and death.
